Butcher’s Block Blackbutt Parquetry (Large)

$449.00

Our Butcher’s Blocks are handmade with love in our Eora (Sydney) workshop from sustainable Blackbutt that is expertly joined into a classic parquetry pattern.

Blackbutt is a gorgeous blonde/light brown timber and one of the strongest hardwoods available. We use end grain for durability with a hefty thickness that ensures stability. End grain is also much better for your knives with self healing properties that minimise the appearance of knife marks, keeping the surface smoother for longer.

Both sides of the block can be used and the inset handles make it easy to move and flip. Comes with a non-slip mat.

Size: 52cm L x 34cm W x 4cm H

Weight: 6kg

Care instructions:

Sealed with our natural beeswax balsam. We recommend re-oiling your board frequently to keep it looking as good as the day you received it, with the complimentary pot we include with every purchase.

Cleaning instructions:

After use, wipe the front and back of your butcher's block with a warm soapy cloth, followed by a soft, dry cloth and leave to air-dry. Do not immerse in water or put it in the dishwasher.

To bring your butcher’s block back to its original condition at any time sand it with a high grit sandpaper (ideally a wet/dry sandpaper), give it two coats of cutting board oil (available from Bunnings) then re-seal it with the beeswax balsam we include with every purchase.

Please note: our wooden serving boards are handmade made from natural timber, the colour and grain on each is unique and variances will occur. While we make every effort for our checked timber pieces to look like our photos it’s never guaranteed as Blackbutt and Spotted Gum can vary from light to dark. This is the beauty of working with natural materials and means that each product is truly unique.
