The Alternating Check Salt and Pepper Grinders are handmade with love in our Eora (Sydney) workshop from individual cubes of sustainable American Oak that are expertly joined into an alternating check pattern.
American Oak is a gorgeous hardwood known for its durability and distinctive straight grain, helping us to create the subtle yet striking checkered pattern. Oak’s colours range from light to medium blonde/brown.
Each grinder houses heavy-duty, Danish made ceramic mechanisms by CrushGrind which crush the salt and pepper (rather than simply cutting it, as more commonly used plastic and metal mechanisms do) for a fuller flavour.
Like all TS Makers’ pieces, our salt and pepper grinders are made from solid timber and built to last. They’re easy to fill and the grind can be adjusted from coarse to fine.
Sealed with all natural hard-wax oil.
